Hourly rates, no questions asked and, oh yeah, $70K of cocaine

Everybody's favorite local sleazebag roach motel, the Stamford Motor Inn next to WWE near exit 9, was the site of a big cocaine bust by Stamford's Finest. Here's the Advocate article.

Is it too passé to make a joke about Tatum O'Neal staying there? If so, why am I blanking on any other famous coke/crackheads?

anyone notice they are doing a face lift to the place?

That is not a very large bust, but definitely a supplier. Why should i know? Did forensics for the Stamford Police for a number of years.

JT: Well, now we know how they paid for the face lift...

Here's a scoop for you, JR - all work has stopped a the Trump building - why? Lack of anything selling!

There's no truth to the Trump rumor. All the glass is in place, so people think that since they can't see it, all work has stopped! Then again, it might be because nothing has fallen off the roof in a while.

Hmmm...I heard the same thing from someone who has a lot more connections than me and when I walked by the place today, there was no activity at all, so even though they have the out side done, they are not working inside. This would tell me there has not been much sale activity and so they are waiting (my strange logic).

Like any good journalist, I can't reveal my source so you'll just have to trust me that it's a credible one, and they tell me that work has definitely not stopped there.

If there's nothing going on from a street-level view, that doesn't mean they're not working on the upper floors. It is the tallest building in town, after all! :)
