Martha, Martha, Martha!

Everybody's favorite domestic diva and former Fairfield County resident Martha Stewart will be in town this Saturday to sign copies of her new book Power Foods! The signing will take place at the food temple known as Fairway Market, 699 Canal Street, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Following the book signing, Terri Trespicio, senior editor of Stewart’s Whole Living magazine, Shira Bocar, Whole Living deputy food editor, Cynthia Sass, acclaimed nutritionist, and Sophie Herbert, Yoga expert, will present a series of free hour-long demos on health and wellness topics from 2 pm to 5 pm.

A portion of all sales during the event will benefit the Martha Stewart Center for Living (MSCL) at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, which serves to promote and facilitate access to health care resources for older adults and to enhance the public perception of aging.

Pre-registration is required for the book signing only; e-mail martha@fairwaymarket.com to reserve a spot. No pre-registration is needed for the rest of the program. At the event there will also be opportunities to win $20 Fairway gift cards, and Whole Living and Fairway gift baskets signed by Martha.

I wonder if she can help me finish macraméing this pair of jean shorts...
