Fort UConn-deroga

Nothing huge, but in the latest development in the UConn Stamford-Trump Parc standoff, UConn has erected protective scaffolding over the sidewalks along Broad Street and Washington Boulevard.

In barely related news, I thought this was funny:

Well, besides Antares' shady dealings, what else is new in town? Cuz I got nothin'.

And yet with all that netting, we're all still driving by there... so sketchy!

OMG my word verification for this comment was "bogrfrgy." That word's going to haunt me all day.

seems like overkill now that all the exterior glass is basically in place.

Yeah, it's overkill, but UConn doesn't need the lawsuit or the publicity if a student gets hit, even though it would be Trump Parc's fault.

How could you miss missing the crazy statues? http://www.skratt.net/wordpress/

They even dismantled the giant dancers on Bedford today.

Overkill? My, y'all are optimistic. There are at least 3 top floors w/o windows. Stuff has flown off those high floors before...

note bene: The construction company for Trump, Cappelli's Fuller Construction, not U Conn, built and paid for the protection.

And there was no debris after the storm.
