I visited the site yesterday. The rocks are not even good quality. Limestone and other mineral impurities. They are also charging $100 a rock (excluding deivery).
I like CVS just as much as the next guy, but what is the deal with this site? It's not as if Stamford is eagerly anticipating a new store coming to town; we have CVS in Ridgeway like 5 blocks away. Let it go, already!
I was in the Bulls Head parking lot yesterday and it is such an eyesore...even worse then the hole in the ground b/c it is not fenced in and is in the center of all the HR/LR activity. They should be made to replace the fill and put the site back to its previous condition. It looks like L&T will crumble. To think they allowed that but denied Whole Foods...disgraceful.
I'm starting to think that Stamford was built on an ancient Native burial ground. We probably have more holes per capita than any other city. How many unfinished projects have we had in the last decade???
Even if something does get built, we just get more crammed-in townhouses and glass monoliths.

Funny! I didn't know where I was going to go for rocks until now.
Well done, sir.
