Hail to the Chief

Get out your signs for or against health care reform, because President Obama is coming to Stamford! He's attending a fundraiser for Chris Dodd this Friday at the Stamford Hilton. I hope he addresses pressing issues like The Hole, people who block the box, and the absence of a single bowling alley in the CTW.

Streets, quick question... CTW? Mustard needs to bowl. I haven't used my bowling shoes since I left the Midwest 2 years ago.

Stamford is the City That Works!

The closest bowling alley is in Norwalk, but it's not the greatest. Fairfield and Milford also have lanes.

I haven't been to Fairfield, but having been to the ones in Milford and Norwalk, and having bowled in the midwest countless times, I can say with 100% certainty that bowling here is nothing short of abysmal.

You'll pay upwards of $6-7/game, the same for shoes, and you'll be lucky if the whole place isn't blacklit on a weekend night (which also happens to jack up the price further).

Dollar bowling it is not.

I'm sure it wouldn't have dollar bowling, but I wish there were some lanes here in town. It's shocking to me that there isn't a bowling alley in a city the size of Stamford. I also wish we had an arcade. Remember arcades??
