$tamford, baby!

Do you like what I did there, replacing the S in Stamford with a dollar sign? I'm clever.

Well, there's a reason I did that: Stamford made the list of the least and most expensive cities in the U.S., but I won't reveal which category we're in!

OK, fine, we're among the most expensive. You're shocked, aren't you? Maybe we should change Stamford's nickname to "The City that Works Two Jobs Just to Afford to Live in a Decent Apartment."

My office has a location in Stamford and one in NYC. I am based in Stamford and live here. And I'm pretty sure I pay a higher percentage of income towards rent than any of my NYC-based coworkers at my payscale. That is insane. And what do I get for my $?

Anonymous #1: I changed the design but the text is still black on white, so I'm not sure why you're having trouble reading it.

Anonymous #2: Not that I doubt your view, but that's kind of hard to believe. You can get a nice two-bedroom in Stamford for under $2000, but $2000 will maybe get you a studio in Manhattan!
